Iker Casillas

Iker Casillas is a retired Spanish professional football (soccer) player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of the sport. Born on May 20, 1981, in Móstoles, Spain, he gained prominence as a youth player at Real Madrid, where he made his senior debut in 1999. Casillas played primarily for Real Madrid until 2015, winning numerous titles, including five La Liga championships and three UEFA Champions League trophies. He also served as the captain of the Spanish national team, leading them to victory in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as well as two UEFA European Championships in 2008 and 2012. Renowned for his quick reflexes, shot-stopping ability, and leadership on the field, Casillas earned several individual accolades, including being named the Best FIFA Goalkeeper and winning multiple Golden Glove awards.
